Bio or Research Areas:
Deborah Mathieu received a Ph.D. in philosophy from Georgetown University, an M.A. in religion from Yale University, and a B.A. in English literature from Connecticut College. Now an Associate Professor, she teaches political theory and publishes in the areas of biomedical ethics, health policy, and philosophy of religion. Her books include: Organ Substitution Technology: Ethical, Legal, and Policy Issues; Preventing Prenatal Harm: Should the State Intervene?; and Ethics and Emergency Medicine. She has received a college teaching award and a departmental service award.
