We are delighted to have some new faces around the department this Spring 2007 semester. Our new faculty colleague, Ramiro Berardo, has arrived and is located in room 304. Please stop by to say hello if you have not already done so. Ramiro's email is berardo@email.arizona.edu. We also have two visiting scholars with us this semester. Most of you know that Kathy Powers, who has recently accepted a position at New Mexico, is visiting from Penn State. We are also delighted to have Cindy Weber, from the Department of Politics and International Relations at Lancaster University in England, with us for the semester. Kathy and Cindy will be sharing room 337 when on campus. Welcome Kathy and Cindy! The department has just received word that ICPSR and APSA's Political Methodology Section are establishing the "John Garcia Minority Fellows Program" to provide fee waivers to select minority students to attend the ICPSR Summer Program.
